A Hawaiian music jam, and social gathering. Come and sing, play, or just hang out, eat, and socialize.

What to bring to the kanikapila:

• Yourself – most importantly, bring yourself, your love for Hawaiian music, and some Aloha spirit. You don’t need to be a musician, singer, or dancer. Everything else is optional (if can, can, if no can, no can.)
• Instruments and music stands if you’re a musician.
• A song to share – If you have a favorite, please bring a few copies to pass around, or email me a copy to put on the screen.
• Kanikapila Songbook – I put this book together for BUG a few years ago, please bring a copy so we can play songs from it:

• He Mele Aloha songbook if you have it. This is an excellent resource for kanikapila songs, including several hula songs.
• Food or drinks – If You Know You Know. Feel free to bring food or drinks to share if can, if no can, no can.  I’ll have paper plates, utensils, etc. to share.
